Artificial Sweeteners and Obesity
Individuals are deluded to think that drinking beverages containing no-calorie sweeteners will help them lose weight or at least not gain weight. A new study continues to debunk this myth. Participants in the San Antonio Heart Study (http://www.wellnessresources.com/studies/entry/artificial_sweeteners_and_obesity) were evaluated at baseline and again seven years later. Consumption of artificially sweetened beverages increased body mass index (BMI) by 47%, compared to those who did not consume these beverages. The greater the intake, the worse the obesity-related problem.
The researchers concluded by saying “These findings raise the question whether artificial sweetener use might be fueling—rather than fighting—our escalating obesity epidemic.”
It’s obviously fueling the epidemic, along with the consumption of horrid sweeteners like high fructose corn syrup. In the case of artificial sweeteners, your taste buds are fooled and leptin receptors on them send a message to your brain that calories are coming – when in fact they are not. This confuses your brain which sends a signal to you to overeat at future meals to get the blood sugar back in balance.
So, what can you enjoy as a cool, healthy beverage during the hot summer months? I make my favorite soda by combining sparkling water, a couple of ounces of Thai-Go, and Xylitol sweetener to taste. Yummy!
When I go to restaurants, I take a small container with 1-2 ounces of fresh (or freshly frozen) lemon juice and xylitol (1-3 teaspoons) in it. I order ice water and put my lemon mix in the water for instant, healthy lemonade. In the winter or in very cold restaurants, I order hot water and make a hot lemonade.
HERBS WORK!
Hannah Pavick suggests the following recipe for gentle, effective cleansing. Mix the following ingredients in 12 ounces of water: 1 oz. Liquid Cleanse + 2 T. Liquid Chlorophyll +1 scoop Everybody’s Fiber. Drink immediately. Adjust ingredients as needed. For additional flavor add Colloidal Minerals or apple juice.

“When I was bitten by a wasp recently, I decided to see what the Silver Shield liquid would do for me. As I dipped my finger into the Silver Shield, it felt so much better. After no more than 5 or l0 minutes, I felt so much better. It’s hard to believe this liquid that looks and tastes like water can do so many miraculous things.
“It’s a great thing to take on vacation. We have used it for eye, ear and sinus issues to name a few. It helps with skin, too. Some people use it half-and-half in a sprayer bottle with Nature’s Fresh. It’s wonderful!” Ann Snyder, C.H.

“Germanium Essential Oil works! In a couple of hours my cold sore was down to half the original size and in a couple more hours even smaller. It’s still there today but very minimal. At first yesterday it was really big. Thank you.” Karen O.

Cheryl’s father was overweight, had diabetes, severe heart problems, and had had a mini-stroke. It was difficult for him to walk because his legs ached so much. He started on Grapine with Protectors slowly and worked up to 18 tablets a day to saturate his body. He legs stopped aching and he is now able to play golf. He is maintaining the benefits of the product with 8 tablets a day.

Skin Detox (Ayurvedic) is truly wonderful nourishment for skin problems. One client combined it with Vitamin A & D and saw her red, scaly thick skin on her hands turn back to normal. A teenager with acne who had tried every other product imaginable says that the Skin Detox (Ayurvedic) is clearing up his problem.
