I had booked a session with Lisa in order to keep myself
cleared and energetic, but also to address my inability to sing still. We began the session when she asked me point blank about why I continued to torture myself with NOT singing?
This not-singing had become an issue especially during the past year, but it stemmed from my emotional attachments I had towards it as a young singer. After searching for an explanation, I suddenly just blurted out the root of the fear; things that I had suppressed for years and years surfaced, and I had to face them and let them through. The work that night was dedicated to a powerful prayer of forgiveness called Ho Opono Opono. I went through it with her to release the people and events that I had come to associate with my singing. After reciting the prayer, all the negative energy that I released and the Divine Energy that took its place within me allowed Lisa to see my true nature for the first time. That glimpse of my soul is now something that I am starting to nurture. My true nature had been lost to my wanderings and insecurity about what I had become, who I had become. The Ho Opono Opono Lisa gave me to work on has been key to healing many relationships in my life. Do not underestimate the power of this prayer! Forgiveness is truly within our power to exercise, and is what moves us forward, helps us evolve.
Lisa told me, “You are responsible for the energy you bring to every situation.” It hit me, shifted me, that 1 sentence. Only I am responsible for what I bring to each person, each situation. I can bring in fear or negativity, or I can bring in hope and humor. I can bring in whatever it is I choose to bring in, respond however I can respond. That is power in itself. I am not responsible for how the other person is going to react to it, but I can choose to bring in what I know is going to push me toward the greater good. Finally I came to a point in my spiritual seeking where I had no choice but to clear out the negativity in my life in order to evolve. Forgiveness of self and others is not easy work; it is taking me practice and lots of blood-letting, but it is transformational.
Since working more with Lisa, I have also been more open to different energies: for example, seeing angels and other high vibration beings, and auras. She saw that I had been stuck, literally and metaphorically, in practically all aspects of my life.
It was not a “miracle”, in the sense that it was a “cure”. But what she does is to help you along your path by bringing in and harnessing the Divine Energy—what is already there and around us. But she has true gift of harnessing it properly and powerfully, for the greatest good of the person.
After the session I decided to take it one day at a time. Sit down with myself and allow the music to flow back in, without any pressure. I saw that it should be full of joy and light, not expectation and projection. Since that session I have been able to hear my writing voice again, plugging into the energy around me.

This blog is a very personal account of my healing sessions with Lisa Marie Petty, an extraordinary healer based in Flagstaff, Arizona. Lisa’s ability to harness vast amounts of Divine Energy has helped me through the darkest journey of my life.
I first contacted Lisa several months ago ostensibly to help me out with some of my bad habits. I got her number from a friend who said she was fantastic, but I didn’t really know what exactly she did. “Pranic Healing” was what her flyer said. I have been to other energy healers, people who work with angels, psychics, and tarot card readers, usually with somewhat mixed results.
I have been a yogi and avid spiritual student for some time, but my practice was not enough to help me out of this dark period. I sunk into ever deeper depression, avoiding people and social situations.
At the time I called her, I had been in the throes of what would turn out to be the final break-up of a 4-year relationship that had gone sour many many months before. I was extremely confused and depressed, and had gone to other healers for help, and could see no way out of my own suffering. Add to that I was living at friends’ houses, and even worse, out of work for also many months. Jobless, Homeless, and Single! I had had her number and finally decided to call.
When she answered the phone, able to see my energy in front of her, she immediately honed in on my throat. “What is all that stuff on the front and back of your throat?” she asked.
“What do you mean? There’s nothing wrong with it, and that’s the not reason why I called you”, I said.
She replied, “Well there’s all these things all over it and it looks like it’s actually hurting you.”
The floodgate of tears opened. I actually am a singer who stopped singing, and that was causing me great pain and grief but I did not want to admit it. Also, my aura was so muddy and dark, that while she could see my energy field, she couldn’t see me clearly. So she began sweeping and clearing me while we talked on the phone.
She immediately saw my ex, and said that all my lower charkas were depleted of all energy. She was right; we had seen each other the night before, and it was like being sucked by an energy vampire.
I cried several times during the session while she worked on me, but afterwards I felt incredibly light. It was an almost immediate feeling of calmness. For the first time in months, I decided to go out and do something fun, so I called up a friend and went to the beach—without guilt.
The heaviness wasn’t all gone, but I definitely felt clean and clearer.
That night before I went to sleep, I thanked the angels for helping me and sending me to Lisa. In my dreams I was in a car that started to fly up from the ground. That moment, I woke up and felt this powerful surge of energy blast up from the base of my spine to my head, so powerful that I was shaking violently back and forth. This was actually happening, and I woke up in a sweat. That morning I awoke feeling so calm yet energized. I literally had not felt that way in months, perhaps years to be truthful.
This was my first session!
The beauty about working with Lisa is that while I can talk to her about my “story”, which is a good therapeutic release in itself, she is seeing whatever negative thought forms arise in the very moment they do, then she sweeps them away. Her work with the angels also brings messages about solutions to problems, and the Divine Energy she brings in helps protect me from energies of other people.
Perhaps more importantly, I was truly surprised to find that Lisa makes herself readily available for follow-up, and she will actually follow-up with a call to check in with how you are faring. She says up front that this is not a miracle one session cure-all, and it is naïve to think that it would be. Some of these things have been going on for a lifetime, so it might take several sessions to just deal with it superficially without the person freaking out. One cannot leave all the work to the healer, or doctor, or teacher—one is responsible for the work, too. I personally was ready to shift when I called her, but my attachment to my ex did not suddenly disappear with one treatment.
And every day after the first session, I felt lighter and more vibrant; I knew that this was really working.
